During an extended stint behind the wheel of the new BMW M3 Coupe in Monterey, California, motorguru.com jumped at the opportunity to take to the track in the more 'mature' M3 - the four-door sedan version. Where better than a racetrack to experience the true capabilities of the M3. The weight distribution and performance of the sedan is nearly identical to the coupe, so the word 'compromise' was far from our minds. With the introduction of the sedan, BMW has opened up the M3 to a whole additional set of buyers who can now be responsible and naughty at the same time. Wow, what a car. Now you can take your friends along comfortably for the (thrill) ride in an M3.

I had a 2000 323i. Great car.

I had a 2007 335i. Bad ass car.

I had a 2010 M3. WOW! Can you say, I have no control over when I speed. Thank you to my radar detector. Next will be the 2012-2013 M3 6 cyl turbo or twin turbo. I sold the 2010 M3 seriously cause I could NOT STAND DOWN. I had one quick chase with a lame ass California Highway Patrol and I was gone. Not like those losers you see on COPS who ALWAYS get caught. Then again I have never seen anyone every chased in a new M3...LOL.

Great review! I bought this car in summer of 2008 (coupe version though) and couldn't be any happier with my purchase. It may not be the fastest at the lights, but at the limits, it is by far and above 99 percent of the cars on the road.
