I would've held his ass all night for kneeing me in my balls. Hey , knee my balls, I break your knee. Done Deal. 0:25

Did he pop his knee

@MindofaJedi You think that experience has NOTHING to do with it? How many leglocks / hard training reps etc. do you think Ryan gets subjected too without particularly notable injuries(afaik) because he's so much safer and more able to protect himself in those positions due to his familiarity and EXPERIENCE in them.
The 50/50 position is ALL about experience but experience in that particular position.
-
@brutmastaflash The problem with that is that experience has nothing to do with it , you can't tell your caught until it is too late . I have seen blue belts send black belts into surgery many times . Not to mention the whole idea of belts is a bit ridiculous . Did you see what Palhares did in the UFC recently ? Possibly ended someones career . Only a real dumbass would say someone deserves an injury that can be lifelong for competing in a contest , grow up man .
-
@MindofaJedi Thats why there only allowed in advanced divisions where its mostly purple belts and above and high level wrestlers. If your that advanced and dont tap when you should then you deserve to get some ligaments torn
-
That move should be banned , it is so easy to cause major damage with little force and virtually no time to tap . Save the inverted ankle locks for pro MMA not a BJJ tournament .

great tactic.

the imanari nice:)

Nope. It was a small pro team tournament. Was competing for Dan Simmler's school.
thats why its called the "50/50" position both fighters can be leg locked. Notice that Ryan put his leg that was in danger on the BOTTOM of the triangle making it A LOT harder for him to get caught. He may get caught in a straight ankle lock but lets get real, when's the last time a straight ankle lock beat a heel hook? He's beaten numerous black belts from that position he knows how it works.
And that leg positioning gives you sweeps and back takes should he stand out.

@MindofaJedi actually this dude had all day to tap. he just thought he could fight it off. but agreed this move is dangerous but that's why its banned in a lot of bjj tournaments.
