We're not praying to them, we're asking them to pray for us, almost like if you were to ask a friend. I'm glad that St. Matthias the Apostle is in the Litany.

As Catholics we believe that all people are called to sainthood!! Which we all should try and acheive, but do to the different pleasures of the world it is extremly hard to accomplish sainthood. I am going into the seminary next year and I pray to the saints to help pray to God for guidance and understanding of my faith may God Bless You ALL!!.

@Gatta9 Well, it is Christ-like to call someone "fool".. so..

@ChrisDaron Is it Christ like to call someone dumb? We dont want to insult are protestant brothers and sisters we want to set an example of kindness .conversion can be achieved through kindness and the love of God .(Just an exhortation )

3-Protestants say that they believe in the Communion of Saints, but sedulously exclude all union with them. Catholics at least are conscious of belonging to the great family of God's children, and do not insist on being strangers to all with whom they will be associated in heaven.

2-He identifies Himself with them. When Saul persecuted the Christians, Jesus said to him, "Why persecutest thou Me?" And if the sufferings of the saints are His sufferings; the intercession of the saints is another form of His intercession. We Catholics believe in the Communion of saints; the common union of all saints in Christ.

1-If a mother prays for a wayward son, she is mediating on behalf of that son. And if God hears her prayers, that does not detract from the mediation of Christ. And as she can pray for her son, the Lady Mother of Christ and the saints can pray for us. And when they do, it is Jesus mediating for us, for it is Jesus in them Who is doing so. You lack understanding of Christian doctrine. Christians, whether in heaven or on earth, are the members of Christ.

@MarkCox73 Non Catholics, Protestants, are usually just dumb. They attack without even knowing anything. Very Christ-like of them.
Thank you, Gatta9!

Could someone please tell me which saint they invoke between Gregory and Augustine at 1:37? I can't tell what they're saying.

Hello! It's St. Columba - the great missionary saint.
Thanks for listening!
