Annabeth POV
I could feel Percy's breath pushing against my face. I felt as though I were being forced to give an answer. Now. So I did give him an answer. But it wasn't what he wanted to hear; I'm not even sure if it was what I wanted to say.
"I don't know, Percy... It's complicated." I choke out. I feel tears dripping down my cheek as Percy breaks down. "Gods, Annabeth, you think I don't know that? Of course it's complicated! It's complicated, but it's real. This is bigger than you and I. If this is honestly how you want to look at it, Erika asked me out again. But I said know. If that's what you're worried about, keep that in mind, Annabeth. I love you. So much. I don't know what I'll do if you say no. You might as well be handing me over to Kronos now, because that's exactly where I'll end up. I care about you. And I guess you don't care about me then." Percy started walking away, choking back sobs.
"PERCY!" I screamed. But it was too late. He was running off. Before sprinting after him, I ran back into the Greek Mythology room and yelled, "Class dismissed!", barely hearing the cheers from the after-effect.
"Percy!" I had found him. Two campers with different godly parents weren't supposed to be alone in a cabin, but I didn't care now. "Percy, but that's the problem. I do care about you. You're everything to me. I don't know what I was thinking... I- I.... I think I love you too." Percy looked up at me, switching from his previous position, which was his face buried in a pillow. He smiled weakly. "Thank you, Annabeth. You don't know... You don't know how happy I am to hear that. I love you so much now."
I couldn't stand it anymore. He had a hard, blazing look on his face as he threw his arms around me. [A/N- I know this is Harry Potter stolen. I honestly don't care. Lol] He picked me up bridal style and spun me around. My lips were hardly an inch from his. I knew what he wanted. I bent forward slightly and gave him a fairly quick kiss. He seemed satisfied. "I'm glad you said yes, Wise Girl." Percy grinned as he said it. "Me too, Seaweed Brain." As he sat on his bed again, me still in his arms, eyes closed, I realized I had another class starting in about five minutes. I opened my eyes to see that he was staring at me. I giggled. "Percy?" I asked. "Mmhmm?" he said quietly, smiling slightly.
"Um, I have another class in about five minutes... I'm really sorry." I said, hoping he wouldn't be annoyed. "Oh, all right. You want me to see you off?" he said. I beamed, very relieved. "Absolutely." He walked me off down to the quiet little GM building. "See you later, then, Wise Girl?" he asked me as he broke away our entwined fingers slowly. "Sure! Want to meet me outside of the Great Hall around 5?" I suggested. "Excellent. See you then, Annabeth." He said, still ever-smiling. As he half-walked, half-ran in the general direction of the strawberry fields, and I yearned for the moment I could see him again.
