  • @btkw Thank you. =) I already learned it since I posted this, but thanks anyway. ;)

  • @Vojife Your comment is 2 months old but i'll just reply. yes you can put 人at the back for nationalities. e.g. America=美国, American=美国人,France=法国, French person=法国人,Spain=西班牙, Spanish person=西班牙人

  • @Vojife ren .only means person

  • Hm, help me out here, please.

So, if I get it, "China" is 中国 (Zhōngguó)

And in a past lesson you said "I am not Chinese", where "chinese" was 中国人 (Zhōngguó rén).

Now you say "You can speak Chinese", where "chinese" is 中文 (Zhōngwén).

So 人 changes a country to a nationality and Chinese as the language is 中文?

I know it isn't the topic of this lesson, but I really "need" to know whether I can use 人 for other nationalities as well)

  • yeah, i know it's easy...i just got confused

  • @TenejiNdNaruhina actually i find it very easy to follow. i'm a complete beginner in chinese and not even an english native speaker. still i fully understand that little piece of grammar after watching this video.

  • First she says "You love me" and asks "Do you like me?". She is flirting around here.

  • xiexie! great video!! (^-^)

  • OH I GET IT NOW!!! :P smart me :D

  • this is confusing

    :s
