@MrCrgl It seems like you have the older Kontakt driven library. All newer libraries are powered by Soundsonline's own PLAY engine!

@alexpfefferdotnet ha ha, ok, but is play the same a the "standalone" engine version of EWQLSO ? Cause nowhere in my version (I have the Gold version) there is any reference to Play.

this sounds very good. One question. I keep reading about a "Play Edition". What is Play ? is the "Play" edition different from what other version ? Is it better ? or more simple ?

At 0:23 I see you have Close at 8, Stage mics are off entirely, and Surround are at 6 within the PLAY engine. What is your thought process or reasoning behind having them set like this? Does this have an impact on the sonic setting of the orchestra in the end?

@Warhear87 It may sound kinda stupid, but the simple reason behind it is, that I felt it sounded good for what I was trying to do. I see composing as cooking a meal, then you need some spice and nobody is going like: Ok, I always put 2 spoons of salt in my meal ... everybody would taste it and see how it is and probably will decide different on every other meal ...

I also find using this tehnique more natural rather than using keyswitches, just asking you the pro do you bounce stuff?Cause it can get very cpu heavy when larger orchestration is in works with this method.all the best you are genius!

@soulclappin you're right, but this shouldn't be a problem anyore on quad or 8core CPUs, a decent amount of RAM and fast drives .. and yes, I bounce stuff. Mostly just the finished orchestra and then I care about all additional stuff like ethnic percussions, synth and/or guitars, bass and drums etc.
