Obviously this isn't terrible. Still, I prefer the version posted by smalin performed by the USAF. That military precision goes a long way on a piece like this.

sarah chang plays it way better man she really does rush it at the beginning it's only because the string section stops and comes in again that it seems in time and that harpsicord is sick off it's supposed to be just a chord on the beat not arpegiated like that idk fuck it's just sub par to me could be better

This is a piece that every lover of violin must have heard interpreted many thousands of times by many thousands of performers. This particular performance rates very highly among the many thousands of times I have heard it by a myriad of performers over many many years. Kudos. I can listen to it repeatedly for many years to come and feel greater remembrances of winter than all the videos combined with their photo scenes. Thanks for reminding me why Winter is my favorite season.

Sorry, but there is simply no better version of this on the Tube...You people analyze rather than listen...just check out the many other versions. If you think this violinist is "rushing," you must be high on crack! So the harpsichord "throws everything off?" Boy, you people are deaf, dumb, and blind.

@neuron85 Well, at least it's not one of those postings that requires you to turn up the speaker volume. The sound quality is excellent . . .

Don't kill me now, but I must say that I don't really like this interpretation. Something is off here, I don't exactly know what. Maybe the harp is too loud and not in sync with the rest.. The tempo is weird, the main violin rushes too much... It might be technically ok, but there's no feel in it.
