The incredible mechanical orchestra from Kinloch Castle, Isle of Rum, Scotland. Electrically driven, it uses large rolls of perforated card and paper-thin brass to simulate a 40-piece orchestra. It is only of only three of this model, manufactured in Germany by Imhof & Mukle, and may have been ordered for Balmoral Castle by Queen Victoria who died before it could be installed. Sir George Bullough paid about £120 000 in today's terms for it.
