CHAPTER 12

Hannah: Oh wow...

Joe parked and I got out. I was more or less speechless. He had brought me to a lake surrounded by summer green trees. In the middle of the lake was a tiny island with a beautiful old little church on it.

Hannah: Wow...
Joe: What?
Hannah: The view it's - it's so beautiful!
Joe: I know.
Hannah: You're not even looking at it! You're looking at me!
Joe: I know but that doesn't change the fact that my view is amazing. (smiling)
Hannah: (coughing) Corny!
Joe: (pretending not to hear her) What was that?
Hannah: Thank you?
Joe: (smiling)
Hannah: So what is this place exactly?

He took my hand and we started walking. He told me the story behind the church. As it turned out this was the church were his parents had gotten married when they were young and now he hoped that one day he would get to come back here to get married. Who knew he could be so romantic?

Joe: It's cheesy - I know!
Hannah: No it's sweet! There should be more guys like you.
Joe: (smiling)
Hannah: So Joe... Are you a good swimmer?
Joe: I'm all right I guess. Why do you ask?
Hannah: So you won't drown.
Joe: Why would I drown?
Hannah: When I do this!

He gave me a confused look. Then he realized what I was going to do but I was to fast. I gave him a push and a few seconds later Joe was in the lake. I tried containing my laughs but as he emerged from the lake I couldn't help it.

Joe: You think this is funny?
Hannah: (trying to stop laughing) Uhm
Joe: Right... (smiling evilly) Lets see how funny you think this is!

Oh crap! I hadn't really though this through had I? I ran - Joe right on my tail. I don't really know how it happened but somehow I caused both Joe and I to fall. Result - me lying on ground with Joe Jonas on top. Okay right stay calm - say something clever!

Hannah: Hi.
Joe: Hi.

Oh my God! Hi? Was that the best I could do? He looked me in the eyes.

Joe: Hi.
Hannah: Hi.
Joe: You okay?
Hannah: Yeah
Joe: Good
Hannah: Sooo... Youre all wet...
Joe: I know - its your fault!
Hannah: Ah well (smiling)
Joe: But it was worth it.
Hannah: Oh yeah? Why?
Joe: Because now I get to do this.

I closed my eyes as he leaned closer. I felt his wet lips crashing on mine. It was the perfect first kiss. I opened my eyes.

Hannah: Hi
Joe: Hi

Maybe I need to widen my vocabulary? Oh screw that! I pulled him closer and kissed him again but this time it lasted longer. I could feel him smiling.

When Joe finally got off from me I too was pretty wet but it didn't matter. He wrapped his arm around me and then we started walking back to the car. I dont think I ever remember feeling this happy. I looked up at Joe - he had a huge smile plastered on his face.

Joe: What are you thinking about?
Hannah: You.
Joe: I like the sound of that!
Hannah: I bet! (smiling) What are you thinking about?
Joe: Apple pie!
Hannah: Really? (surprised and disappointed)
Joe: Im kidding - Im thinking about you silly!
Hannah: Psh I knew that!

He smiled at me, which caused me to blush. Just now I realized that my heart was beating insanely fast. How long had it done that? Joe interrupted my chain of thought.

Joe: So what do you wanna do now?
Hannah: Well we are kinda wet so maybe we could go get some dry clothes?
Joe: See that's why I like you - you are so smart!
Hannah: Why thanks! (laughing) But then I want APPLE PIE!
Joe: (Smiling) Sure thing!
Hannah: You know Sam's Tart House? They have like the best pie ever!
Joe: Nope!
Hannah: You're going to love it! I'm like a regular there.
Joe: (smiling)

He pulled up at my house and I ran in and got a change of clothes and then we headed back to the Jonas house. I borrowed a bathroom took a quick shower and got dressed. As I left the bathroom I could hear that Joe was still showering so I went down to the kitchen. Where I found Nick and his mom.

Nick: Hannah! Hi!
Hannah: Hi!
Nick: Mom this is the girl Joe has been talking non stop about!
Denise: That must make you Hannah! Its very nice to meet you!
Hannah: You too! (smiling)
Nick: So where's Joe?
Hannah: In the shower! I kinda pushed him in the lake...
Nick: Nice!
Denise: (laughing) I bet he deserved it!
Joe: I heard that! Mom I thought you were on my side!
Denise: Well...
Joe: I feel so loved!
Hannah: Denise can't help it! People just like me. I have that effect!
Joe: Yeah yeah lets go get your pie!
Hannah: (smiling) Yay!

We said goodbye to Nick and Denise. I told Joe the way to Sam's and as we pulled up I saw someone I didn't want to see...

Who is it?!?!?
