I'll write you a letter that
You'll keep
Reminding you your love for me
Is more than six feet deep
You say aloud that you
Would've been my wife
Doubt it was about Jesus lol

@anbujosh89 It can be what you want.. thats what I thought after a while but to me, it's about a girl. Thats because I have a problem with one of my friends whom, is a girl, and fits this song. But if I wanted to make it about god I could.

people seem to be misunderstanding the interpretation of this song...it is a clever metaphor of Jesus "faking his own suicide" so we would notice him. A.K.A dying the death on the cross that we deserve to save us from our sin, and raising from the dead; the part of us that died along with him referred to in the song is our sin. Amazing song, and beautiful metaphor, glad a friend explained it to me or i would have missed it!

@LiveLaughSoccer1 Look, let's get something straight. If you've asked for God's forgiveness, you're saved from the punishment for ALL your sins (including suicide) for as long as you live. There's no biblical evidence to support that one simple sin like that could wrench you out of God's hands despite having been saved. That idea contradicts everything salvation means.
Who else's suicide do you fake? :)
