This is the best version I've found so far. I like it even better than Janet Baker's or Teresa Berganza's. Believe it or not, this is a very difficult piece! The notes are so sustained, and in many places the range is not at all comfortable (that last "sempiternum" lies right in the chest-to-middle voice break for most of us mezzos). I have to sing this next Sunday for a 9/11 memorial service, which will add an extra measure of difficulty. I'll be listening to this for inspiration!

@Seasass I am so glad you liked and are inspired by this rendition by Sarah Connolly. Best wishes for your own performance at the 9/11 memorial service - that will be particularly difficult emotionally I imagine.
