  • btw i like this grippen, and its free

  • the best things are free, the old saying goes..

  • WOE isn't free, but it's hardly best on it's own without the free addons ;)

  • whats best of it, is that it has the capability to outbest the best flight simulators. and those add-ons and patches are free..

  • This is really cool, since my name is Vigga xD

  • Where I can do download of this mod? pls.

  • i tried to install jas 39 to WoE, but when i start it up, the program is not responding. I Think it may have to do with the wep. I dunno how to install them :S help plz?

And another question, how do ya make the "red stuff" appear around the targets??

    thank you for all help

  • Well, there was.. anyway.. :)

  • there seems to be nice discussion going here.,..

  • I mean 'Dragon' is really a mistranslation..

  • If you look at the shape of the wings & canards from straight above or underneath, you'll see a zig-zag shape.. like a bolt of lightning... a thunderbolt.. As for the Draken, it shouldn't really be translated as 'Dragon', but as 'KITE', again because of the shape of the wings.. Draken is really a mistranslation that stuck..

  • Hmm... "Åsk-Vigg" is old-Nordic for the type of hammer Thor wielded. (eg. Mjolnir). A hammer of this shape, was seen as a protective artifact against lightningstrikes.

I do also remember the word having been used, although very rarely, to describe a bolt of lightning, but always together with the word "åsk"(thunder) infront.

And since a thunderbolt is always drawn as a "wedge"... the literal translation would probably be "Thunder-Wedge".

But yes... Saab translates it into "Thunderbolt".

  • Viggen translates to 'THUNDERBOLT'.. when it comes to the Saab plane..

  • your all wrong!
