These are settings to input into your TV if you lost your original service menu settings. I am not responsible if anything happens to your TV with inputting these certain settings. This is for anyone that has the same TV and same model that lost their settings or something was replace like the screen and you need the original settings from the manufacturer.

Getting into the service menu,

1. Turn TV off
2. Press mute and numbers 1-8-2 followed by the power button as fast as you can with the remote facing the tv.
3. follow my steps to repair the settings of your tv.

Please do not ask me how to , or to explain anything from the service menu. I just learned this recently and you can really mess up your $1,700 dollar TV.

  • Is there some option to auto source off? i hate when my tv changes to "EXT" when tvreceiver turns on..

  • @Exami You mean the HDMI HEC? Yes, there is an option, you have to either shut it off on the receiver end or on the TV I think there is an option or you go go to the source list and select the receiver and hit the tools or options for it and turn of the option to turn on and off the tv when you turn off and on the receiver.

  • @Exami Its called Anynet, When you press "Source" on remote. It will show the devices connected. If your Anynet setup is correctly configured, then when your receiver turns on, it will not switch to your receiver on the TV if thats what you want. Select "Tools" on your remote. Then Enter the menu of Anynet-CEC. THen Either enter setup and disable your turn to tune into the device that turns on or go to device list and just remove the device from Anynet.

  • @CSJiGSaW08 If you have the same TV, it should be in page 40 of the User Manual of the UN46c6900

  • what is in the EXPERT mode area - this is where the only place people should probably go to calibrate the sets..can you upload and give us that view

  • I have a question - is the expert area to go to calibrate the tv?Can you show those so that I can see what it is. The advance menu does not have a full CMS control of the Gamut to set color correctly - so this setting has god aweful color rendition - especially even after setting greyscale and trying to get color decoder right but does not have that unless its in the SM

  • excuse me please this is urgent, well im trying to pay a PC game but when even i try to play it. it says no support mode? what does this mean? and how do i get it fixed? please respond. thank you

  • does anyone here know how to shut that auto dimming feature off....i have turn energy saving mode off dynamic contrast is off....i dont have the option in the normal menu to manipulate the eco sensor...is there a way to turn it off in the service menu? it is so annoying to watch when everyone in awhile the brightness automatically dims or brightens when it obviously should not in that scene. my tv is pn59d530 samsun plasma any help would be most appreciated
