DECK THE HALLS AND WASSAIL, WASSAIL with LYRICS here below

lyrics:
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yuletide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

lyrics:
Wassail

Wassail, wassail all over the town!
Our bread it is white and our ale it is brown,
Our bowl, it is made of the maple tree;
oh, here my good fellows i´ll drink unto thee.

Yule or Yule-tide is a winter festival that was initially celebrated by the historical Germanic peoples though it was later absorbed into the Christian festival of Christmas. The festival was originally celebrated from late December to early January on a date determined by the lunar Germanic calendar. The festival was placed on December 25 when the Christian Julian calendar was adopted.
Terms etymological equivalent to "Yule" are still used in the Nordic Countries for the Christian Christmas, Yule is also used in a lesser extent in English speaking countries to refer to Christmas. Customs such as the Yule log, Yule goat, Yule boar, Yule singing, and others stem from Yule.

  • 35 days before Christmas and 35 days before my birthday :D

  • i love that song so buetiful!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish my country had a beautiful carol like this.

  • It's really hard to imagine Christmas without this song. I love the old, traditional carols like this one. And here it is July, and I'm already looking forward to Christmas. I know a lot of people can't stand Christmas, it means bills and stress to them, but to me it's pure happiness in every way, a very special time full of love, all about Jesus. I'm sorry our society has put so much emphasis on the materialism and consumerism of it today, trying to make it secular.

  • lol when i was a little kid i always thought the lyrics were:

"Dook doo dairy kung fu fairy fa la la la la la la la la" lmao
