Check it out for all of my AMD overclocking stuff

This is the card i used:

I picked up my digital multimeter from Radioshack. The pencil is a 2B art pencil, better graphite for pencil modding than a regular HB2, but that will still work too.

  • hey man i have a digital multimeter but i don't know what setting to choose from the wheel.. can you help me??

  • @vl199 Should be either an arrow or omega sign or something similar

  • how did i do it on gigabyte version ???? thx

  • @idan124 Unfortunately it depends on the card. I do not have your exact card, so I couldn't tell you. It depends on the IC/VRM's your card uses.

  • Can u undo this , or this is permanent mode? I got an 5870 ref design and want to go over 1.35v to around 1.6v how can i do this accurately?

  • @2007vitaly It is not a permanent mod, pencil mods can simply be erased.

Pencil mods are not accurate whatsoever. You would need to do a permanent solder on mod to be accurate. 1.6V is too much for 5870's to handle

  • @Blackout9550 There are resources all over the internet where you can type in the chip number and get a profile of the semi-conductor

  • @crabid Absolutely, but the correct resistor would have to be identified
