I think people will look back on 9/11 twenty... thirty years from now and think "wow, we were really fucking stupid to believe and trust the government." And I am not talking about the 9/11 clean up workers either. The entire nation was whipped into a irrational patriotic frenzy that did far more damage than good.

OK, I've worked in hazardous conditions but common sense dictated when safety equipment was necessary for the simple reason of protecting my health. WHY didn't Ground Zero workers use facemask filters in such a hazardous environment? After initial rescue search, the cleanup was just a job, there was no particular reason for anyone to sacrifice their health. Working in concrete dust you KNOW its alkali, you can feel & taste it burning. How could anyone not know GZero was a smouldering poison pit?

Actually, Hillary helped to get health care long after 9/11 for these workers. My uncle was one. She called and followed up and made people take action who wanted to deny that this dust had caused the health issues. Talk to the fire fighters she got health care to and who she stays in contact with to make sure even now that they are getting the care they need. I've talked face to face with the people she helped. MANY fire fighters and workers at ground zero respected her far more than Gulliani.

The USA government doesn't care about anyone not even it's own people. Despite this a lot of American people are overly patriotic and defend their government to the end. I'm glad to be Irish. Although my government is corrupt it protects it people ALWAYS. If I were to develop HIV, Leukemia or whatever and I can't afford the medication who will pay for it? My government, that's who.
