@ScopedOutRaven A little history may help you. The Great Famine was not "hundreds of years ago." It began 154 years ago and lasted for years. The results were shocking: starvation and emigration on a massive scale. The British government essentially ignored the situation or took measures designed to keep money and goods flowing into England.
As for your hatred of religion, I don't know what that has to do with the famine. London's driving forces were, as always, ethnic hatred and greed.

@stbricesday I agree with ya mate,for me..I can get Potatoes from Tescos nowadays...cmon guys..that was like hundreds of yrs ago...get a fuckin grip..its 2012 now...The one big thing in this world..Hatred wise...is RELIGION!!! ...Do we practice it on a day to day basis ?? Do we goto "OUR" church? do we pray to "OUR" God ? I bet half,maybe more than half dont...Way I see it...if ur worryin about someone elses life..ur not in control of ur own..:)

Played at my Grandads funeral; he built a house in Ireland and immigrated to England with my Nan and planned to go back once they retired.
Since they had 8 children they never did get to go back to that 'dream house' I just hope he is there now....his dream.

For f**k sake, it's time to cut history's tow rope of hate. 'Raise our children with dignity' and show no hatred of any nation or people, else hatred is inherited again and again and again and again. It was the greedy people that did damage in the past and caused war, famine and poverty to supplement their avarice, wherever they resided or came from.They are causing misery to this day, living on the proceeds of misery, blood and sweat gleaned riches, ancient or modern.
