Great work! Are you planning on adding joystick/joypad control to the program? I control these things from my Amiga 1200 with the joystick, and it feels pretty natural with no response delay and full directional control, just like your program.
I noticed that you only have one launcher, so you can't test your code with multiple launchers at once. I could try compiling the sourcecode on my Ubuntu machine and test it with two or three units plugged in and let you know how it goes if you like.
