I have followed your steps. I can soften the picture as much as I want, but I cant seem to darken the spots I went over.

If you are talking about the layer mask, you must ensure it is selected in the layers palette, if you are referring to darken the area, try using a burn brush, or the stamp tool set on multiply.

Hi, have you tried "photo SFX art" (google it)? There you can watch a great free video showing how you can create incredible photos. It helped Daniel to make pictures that have that wow-effect while you look at them. Hopefully it will work for you also...

something happens when i try to brush everything :( it wont work i put 50 opacity or 100 and flow and it doesn work!
