The legendary Freddy Powers sings, "All I Want to Do Is Sing My Song" he wrote with Merle Haggard. There's some mighty fine picking on this, I need some help identifying these guys. Freddy's guitarist in the lead, Django Porter. BB Moris on bass. What a memorable night! That's Steve Carter and Jimmy Boggs on guitar and BB Morse on Bass. Thanks boys.

FWIW, Freddy had Django over to his house all the time to pick, so I don't reckon he disliked or dislikes the way Django Porter plays. You can vote for whoever you want, but Django gets invites to play...

I saw freddy play with Merle at the ROMONA BOWL in Hemet CA in 1984... They played this song, and I was so proud to have front row seats for me and my dad. What a great memory. What a great song, and Freddy Powers does it very well. It is haunting, and I like the variations from Merle's version. God Bless you, Freddy

I don't mean to be too critical here, but I can't stand the tone and technique of the "Django" player. He's to aggresive for such a beautiful tune. Don't get me wrong I know what he's going for, but for me it's a little out place. Freddy however, sounds great. Thanks for posting.
