At the age of 13, Jimmy Page appeared on Huw Wheldon's All Your Own talent quest programme in a skiffle quartet, one performance of which aired on BBC TV in 1957. When asked by Wheldon what he wanted to do after schooling, Page said, "I want to do biological research to find a cure for cancer, if it isn't discovered by then".

  • biological research

  • THAT WAS A COMMERCIAL!?! haha

  • thank god.

  • Yeah, real 'amateurs' simply parading their talent -then going onto study their musical craft over years of experience - nowadays there's Simon Cowell, who creates so called 'talent' like instant-mashed potatoes all for his own mega-profit.

  • wat am amoying interviewer

  • If I was interviewed by Mr Wheldon, his arms crossed and his seriously "in your face" body language, I'm not sure at that young age and in those days I could have answered him. I'd like to see that dude walk out on stage at madison square garden in the middle of the "song remains the same" film and ask Jimmy about researching germs.

  • Jimmy looks like Screech.

  • @Recovery101Rule62

    skiffle

its a band where you don't have to be a pro,you can play without expensive instruments and even with little experience
