awsome your are a smart boy! well made man took my Idea kinda but it`s ok I invented that from Canadien tires stuff to but I made something else..same concept though.

@Dorisequador I did however, attempt with several different ratios where I had to use a special metal piece to adapt to the drill chuck and bolt professionally to the sprocket. I have no idea what this piece is called and it needs to be a specific size. I will look into it shortly, and give you the name. I had searched for a long time to figure out how to adapt this. I know It is a part from Canadian Tire. Other places may carry it too. It is a common piece, but the specific size is discontinued

@Dorisequador I still have the sprocket with the chuck piece assembly. I could take some pictures for you and specify the amount of teeth for that sprocket if you want. As for the chain-ring on the bike, it is simply standard. If you get a smaller chuck piece, there will be no way to bolt the sprocket to it, you will have to weld it but it is recommended anyways..

@Dorisequador With a Set of 4 SLA Batteries in parallel, at 18AH each, Totaling to 72AH, I was getting average 20kms distance.

@Dorisequador I used 2 types of similar drills, the Hole Hawg had 50 more rpms, and I recommend this one because the "drill chuck" is not "threaded". If it is threaded it will unscrew while you are riding unless you can tack weld it. I don't recommend this even though I tried it. Their are several websites/suppliers of this motor. Do a Google search for the recommended drill, Home depot is one that carry it. I have no idea what the ratio is. I had not calculated for this one.

@Dorisequador I got my Milwaukee Hole Hawg at home Depot. The Controller is from Busy bee Tools.The Inverter is from Total Battery. You Can use any inverter recommended above 1500w+ so everything works well. You can also use a Power Fist Drill from Princess auto.Bosch also have a similar design, but I believe the P.F is the cheapest.Speeds are 40-45km/h Top on Flat. It will slow down to about 32k on hills because that is the speed it has most torque.This gear ratio is more for speed than torque

@luc59457 hey can you give me the link to the exact motor you used and how you got it to do different speeds.... seems like you really made that thing well... how long can you ride forand how is it on hills?

@Dorisequador oh ok. First I was going to try an electric chainsaw until I saw the Hole Hawg.

I did a swap because, with brushed motors, you must change brushes before they are finished or you may destroy the motor.. I did not destroy it, but I did not bother changing the brushes either. I will with my current system because it is much more worth taking care of!

I just sold my inverter for it =).. A friend is going to use to it power his shed lights and utilities via batteries and small solar combined with wind system. I got an even better system now for this bike, this was all for fun and to show innovation. If you want one, you can use different brand motors for this LOL.. I had done a drill swap at one point, from a Hole Hawg to a Power Fist.. I loved the Power Fist, because it was 50rpms more, but the motor shaft sucked compared to the H.H.
