  • according to Victor Kan, Lo Man Kam was one of the earliest 1950's student of Yip Man. Lo was also Yip Man's nephew and learned some wing chun unofficially as a child. His son Gordon Lu(Lo) the assistant in the video, first learned from his father Lo Man Kam then learned from Duncan Leung, another Yip Man early disciple. Gordon is now inheritor disciple of both his father and "uncle" Duncan Leung's Wing Chun teachings.

  • Yip Man died in the late 1980s. Right after he died 3 or 4 of his students claimed to be his successor. Consequently, there was an argument as to who was the head of his school. You can read about it in back issues of Inside Kung Fu.

  • He taught Bruce Lee lookalike Ho Chung Tao (Bruce Li)
