  • Rarely do my photos require 3 strobes, most of my shot only require one strobe. Have several strobes allows me the ability to shape a shot the way I want. Key light, kicker and hair light if I chose. If you shoot, you know what a PW is.

  • i'm a fan of you David. had been following all of your videos, very educating.

i would like to know what is that octobox you are using on 2:30"

    thank you

  • @BloatedSensations

I agree you can buy speedlights @ those prices but you still wont be able to use Hi Speed Sync. $445.00 for 1 580ex2 Video show's 3. Thats allot of dough.

  • @pogues13 If you use Canon Flashes, RadioPopper has better results than Pocket Wizard. PW conflicts with Canon's Infared system, RadioPopper dont have any issue with it.

  • @pogues13 PW is Pocket Wizard

  • I love your work. Incidentally, I've had 100% of my income from photography since '04 and I don't know what PW is. Apart from size and weight, what is the advantage of using speedlights over small normans or Alien Bee's with a battery. I don't use my sb-800's that much because it seems that they are inconsistent. A lot of that may be user error, but a full manual flash seems to work best for me...

  • @commentchief $1,200? If you look around a bit you can pick up old speedlights on E-bay that will work like charms for $50.00 to $100.00 each. If you don't want to spend much time looking around, you can find them easily for $100.00 to $150.00 each. I shoot with 4 speedlights, and if you don't count one of them that I bought brand new for $400.00, the other three cost me a total of $190.00 - $45.00 + $70.00 +$75.00 - and they work beautifully.

  • Fantastic video!

  • you're pro!
