How often do you leave your shower running waiting for the water to warm up? A newer product that ACT D'MAND just recently released is an expansion tank. This tank addresses the issues surrounding the pressure that builds up in water heaters. The expansion tank serves as a bladder where this pressure can go. This expansion tank is different from others in two ways: it uses a flow through which allows self-cleansing to prevent clogging, a common problem with expansion tanks, and it eliminates the cold water sandwich effect common in tankless gas water heaters.

Expansion tanks are so critical that California is now requiring all newly constructed homes to have expansion tanks because of the build-up of pressure in the home.
