The guy you're talking about is Frank Moore, the eroplay activist/performer from Berkeley. As far as I know he's still alive and had some kind of wingnut sounding political campaign not long ago. Knowing his penchant for nudity and scandal, it seems the Feederz and Frank Moore worked well together.
And nope, not a 'Friscoite (*ducks*), though my ex, who took me to that show was/is, and *he* was looking away. So.... maybe I'm not such a pansy after all. :p~~~~~~~~~~
No. The guy in the Wheelchair was a relatively famous performance artist who died soon after this show. He had starred with Lydia Lunch and some other punk rock illuminatti in one of the 80's "Mondo" films where he was "acting" perverse and painting on nude women against white silk canvases that eventually sold for WAY too much money at a New York art show.
The entire part of his appeal was because he WAS so creepy to "normal" people. Vale from RE:Search could give you his name.
He was someone from the audience they brought on stage. While it was great the guy was obviously enjoying himself, it bothered me that he wasn't wearing underwear...and it showed. I felt like someone should have been watching out for the guy, or at least for those of us who didn't wanna see what he had under that blanket.

Ha! You must not live in San Francisco, where the footage was taken! That was tame!

Ahhhh, I had no idea. I guess it wouldn't have squiked me out HALF as much if he'd worn underwear, and/or pants under that blanket on his lap.
Just. Not. A. Pretty. Site.
