I first heard of Jim from his production on some of my favorite Smog CD's, such as Red Apple Falls and Knock Knock. Parts of this sounds like something from Knock Knock. I like it.

Something this brilliant needs more comments, ratings and listeners. I lent my copy of insignificance to another jim fan a couple of years ago and sadly never got it back. It's on the Christmas wish list (for anyone who's willing enough to look through a million Scottish record shops to find a copy).

actually, i believe jim still works with both jeff and sonic youth. the experimental side of music is still going strong. i can't believe how many projects that man is involved with.

It`s amazing to think of how many projects not just Jim has done but Sonic Youth.

I actually just had a talk with Glenn Kotche in April after a Wilco show and he said Jim was putting some more stuff down and he was on the album to keep my eye out for it.
