Why do you even bother to aruge with another AMIfanboy? I knew hundreds of AMIGA guys (for some time being one of them in 90's) which main goal was to show every PC/ATARI guys that their hardware suck and AMI == best. To me they were simply sick people. Why do we always need those f...ing wars?! Instead of "consolidate" all Motorola computers against INTEL-crap we were fighting with ourselves. Years have passed and what has changed? Nothing! These computers couldnt survive with such users...

@Foebane72 the sound track is just a 4 channel tracker tune. Check out ACE Tracker for what is really possibly on a Falcon... And the STe can emulate the Paula very well and do other things ;)

If this is a Falcon demo, why does it sound like an Amiga 1200 demo?
I thought the Falcon had DSP 16-bit sound, but the audio in this demo could be easily done by an A1200.
At least it's better than the STE, where not even the PCM sampled audio had pitch control! LOL!

@flyingcarp000 Well in my opinion they are about even because of Atari's decision of making the CPU
16 bit bus (WHAT THE BALLS) and the 68020 processor can sometimes give a false
impression but the custom chips which govern the video and sound capabilities help boost the overall
performance considerably. both are great machines :) and yeah this era (thanks to MS&Apple) is the most boring & offensive (we were just kidding & were friends in the end) computing era ever...

@flyingcarp000 well, we can still slag off each others computers, there are plenty of arguments going on over AMD vs Intel :p

comparing an standart Falcon 030 to an A1200 with accelerator is VERRY smart. Tell us more.

I'd like to make a version of River Raid out of the 3D river section!

compare the falcon with an amiga 4000/040 that is really that you have to compare with, talking in price terms on those years.
On the whole the A500s better than the ST and the Falcons better than the A1200.
I had an ST, I saw the Falcon with no real software to take advantage of it and an yuckky ST case!!, so I got an a1200 with HD and accelerator, which served me for 6 years.
Shame Atari decided to leave the home PC market and do a half harted launch on the 030 (An ST case?.. why?)
Shame commodore messup the finaces.
Shame we now have to use sucky PCs/Apples. and we cant slag each others computers off anymore.

Actually the Amiga had more colours:
ATARI FALCON
Palette of 262,144 possible colours
65,536 on-screen colors
Amiga 1200
24-Bit color palette (16.7 Million colors)
262,144 on-screen colors in HAM-8 mode
But in EVERY other aspect the Falcon kicked it's butt :)
