Macau Tower stands at 223m high, which is about 61 stories. I have a phobia of heights, so much so that when we were at the observation deck on 58th floor, I could not even muster the courage to step onto the glass flooring. I think it's a psychological fear because your mind tells you that there is nothing to worry about but your body reacts when it senses danger.
However, I decided to challenge myself & put myself in a situation which I could not back out of, and see if I could conquer my fears or I'd have to admit my failure and beg the bungee operators to kindly give me a hard shove off.
Singaporeans like to say "cannot lah", but it is not an indication of an inability to do so, rather it's a unwillingness to do so. I'd like to prove to myself that "There is no can, or cannot do; only want, or don't want to do."
I firmly believe that anything in life is possible and that we are only limited by our fears.
I did it, and I loved the rush of adrenaline and the liberating sense of freedom so much that I went right ahead to jump again that very night for the breath-taking casino views!
