It still works, because iphone 3G has build in GPS chip. It decodes the data directly from satellite so you dont need GMS or internet connection for that and its free like any other standalone GPS in the market. The case is good for two purpose 1. It is used as a iphone holder and second it provides the boost to GPS signal but mind it works even without the case. I have 3G model and I have installed tomtom and it works great even without the case.

From what I have read it's £99 in the UK for a bit of plastic, think that a bit pricey, g lad I not brought the app as I would be a bit pissed off as you can buy a mid range sat nav for the total price of the iphone tomtom one

Nice app, but even when the iPhone 3G came out, it had GPS, but no navigation, WTF is up with that?

Thanks TomTom! You kick ass, hopefully I can afford this.

this ad shows nothing !
it distracts us with a lot of anime that has nothing to do with the screen.

typical euro hype.

It will only work on the iPod touch if you have the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets, and the cydia package that tricks it into thinking it's an onboard GPS unit. Otherwise, I believe it will crash at launch.
