@MeganRR I think you've misinterpreted the comment. You can sing a song as beautifully as Birdy, you can connect to it for sure, this song brings tears to my eyes and fills my heart with sorrow, but you can never feel it truly because it's not yours, it's just an interpretation. This song belongs to Simon, it's imprinted with his life, his hope, his fears and the same can be said for all art. An artist creates for themselves, it's a piece of them, not us, and I think we can often forget that.

@Neima521 She does lay down a great vocal, and she is a very talented young lady, but there is no way that she could sing it true to the meaning, she can't understand it completely because she didn't experience what led to it's creation. If you've ever written something you'd know what I mean.

@po72644 I think it's open to interpretation. Calling Birdy's cover "better" is just one side of the opinions. Personally I prefer the original, but that's me. Neither is right or wrong, neither version is "better"
