@stevevandien . . . remained, she was definitely sexy on "AI." Her sense of humor and willingness to poke fun at herself increased her appeal.
I've never thought PA was beautiful per se. But her looks are both pleasing and striking (I also find them INTERESTING); and that's a powerful combination. Put it this way: if I had a successful career in L.A., I would first arrange to meet her. And unless something went incredibly wrong during that meeting, I'd ask PA out:) --

Welllll, I've been pondering the question, so here goes. When Paula first became a star in the late 1980s, her best quality was her sweetness. You thought, gee, this is a nice young gal and you just wanna hug her. Not that she wasn't sexy as well, but the sweetness dominated. Cut to "American Idol" time.
