This is a demonstration of narrative family therapy principles in working with cancer clients and their families.

It's good to hear you are learning to ask for help from your loved ones, and this is a strength of it's own. Being able to admit you need help is difficult, and so is admitting you are afraid, but these things are alright and natural, and it shows you DO have strength, to be able to admit these things.

I'm not sure how long ago this video was put up, and I don't know how you or your family are doing. My thoughts are with you, all the same.

I also just wished to add something, regarding what Carlos said about being weak and relying on others for help.

It's been very hard for me to ask my parents for help, even simple things, like asking my father to help me sit up in bed (I'm bedridden) so I can use the computer. I don't like feeling weak and helpless, and nowadays, well, it's exactly how I am, as my body continues to shut down and more and more things stop working.

  • It took strength to share this personal moment of yours (I'm assuming that you, who posted this video, have some connection with the people in it, although I may be wrong. My apologies, if so).

I'm sorry to hear of your struggle with cancer. While I do not have cancer, I am terminally ill (multiple organ failure, along with some other health issues, as well) and know how hard it is to be seriously ill (I've been seriously ill for most of my life).

I wish you all the best. <3

  • Run! there's a witch in the woods!!

  • annoying sound

  • Greast demo of narrative therapy! It is interesting how the family gives the disease a name.

Great shirt that the mom is wearing! :)
