I use Magic Video Converter to convert the files to avi. It runs about 25 bucks.

By the way, this camera records files in .MOV extentions, you CANNOT use Windows movie maker with it, but you can Divx Author to add subtitles, a dvd menu and string the videoes togther, or cut scenes out(jump cuts)

no, youtube just kills the quality, other than the slightly fuzzy audio, its a good camera
