Sold the Ninja 250 and bought an SV650...just a little video introducing it!

It came with touring gear, like the Corbin seat, windscreen, and grip warmers. Also included an Arrow full exhaust and rejetted carbs. I will need to work on the fork seals once I get some time since they are leaking a tad. It'll be a good time to upgrade the fork oil to something heavier!

Can't wait to ride this bike more!

Oh, this is also my first video I'm uploading that I took with my ContourHD 1080p camera! Thanks to my girlfriend, I will be able to upload HD videos from now on! Stay tuned for more exciting videos! (who am I talking to?)

  • I like the bike, and the windscreen that is on it. Do you know what brand it is ?. If I happen to buy a SV650n I would like to get one like it. I've been watching your videos, and you have done a good job. Keep them coming. One day when I get a camera I will make some of my own. Thank's, yl

  • @ylism Thanks for the compliments! The windscreen that came with the bike was the F-15 Tour Screen from National Cycle. Some people hate the appearance, but it is very functional. Since then, I've bought a Givi windscreen that fits on the handlebars and is smaller, but works just as good. I put it on for long tours or during cooler riding seasons.

Thanks again for checking in! Hope you get an SV650 too, it is an amazing bike! Check out SVrider.com if you haven't yet!

  • Nice MR2..... I actually sold mine to get my 1999 VS650 :( Couldn't have both

  • @LestatThirteen Hey thanks for noticing the MR2! It's been a garage queen recently since I bought a new WRX...the car got me through college great though! Enjoy your SV and ride safe!

  • that wind sheild is ugly i like the new sv650s better but this would look pretty good if u took the wind shield off

  • @jslong36 Had no idea this video had comments on it...the windscreen is what the previous owner had on. It is in fact, huge.

But for those who actually ride long distances and not squid around town, you'll know it does a damn good job of blocking wind.

Regardless, I have a new Givi windscreen that looks much nice and works great for touring. For shorter rides though, I ride naked! :-)

  • Thank's for replying so fast, and for the info on the windscreen's. I have a 04 Kawasaki EN500ltd that I have been riding this last year, It's a cruiser type, It runs good & it's a parallel twin. It has a windscreen somewhat like the latter one you have, It's helpful in the winter & for bugs. I am in the east TN area, and there are many curvy roads. So I am looking for a bike that will handle them better, like the SV650, Or SV1000. BTW I seen all your bikes videos. V-good job. Thank's again, yl

  • hehehe i got the same :P but get that windscreen off , its making the whole bike look like crap

  • just thought I'd let you know, I got 69,000 on my 99 sv650N and she's still running strong!, You'll have that bike forever if you take care of her.

  • the windshield needs to go...
