Male induced to release young by netting. Male had been carrying eggs for 18 days. Adults fed on enriched adult artemia and defrosted cooked mussel (Mytilus sp.). 26C; 28ppt; 8.16pH; 0.0NH3; 0.0N02; 0.0N03. Larger juveniles ~5weeks old. Note the loo brush hide ideal cover given their wild choice of an urchin (thanks to Ken for the idea).

  • Its cool to see how many they release. I have a breading pair in my own display & they have had fry around 5 times now, I have only ever had around 5 survive :( as it would be impossible to net the male. The only survivors have been those that got carried over the weir in to the sump!

  • cool i would love to breed them but dont no enought about them
