Beautifully executed .. great tone and melody .. question about the TCE G Natural pedal .. did you try the Fishman Aura Spectrum before purchasing the TC ? I'm in the market for a quality acoustic pedal and was wondering what your thoughts are between the 2 pedals ... I've listened to this upload several times and absolutely love it .. Cheers !!!

@LifesonFan4Life Glad you enjoyed the clip. I didn't try the Spectrum. I have briefly used an Aura and a Mama Bear (another modeling tool) and found both of them simply annoying. The modeling feature may work well for strumming but it certainly didn't impress me as a fingerstyle player. The G Natural doesn't have modeling.

@franguidry .. wow .. thanks for the speed of light response Fran .. I have to say your guitar (of course it helps when you have a great instrument to begin with :) sounds amazing .. I've also subscribed to your channel ! .. thanks again .. p.s .. I recently bought a Taylor 514 CE and I'm looking at getting a quality pedal like yours .. the modeling thing doesn't really appeal to me either .. last question .. have you tried the LR Baggs Venue DI ?the price is a little more in my range :)
LifesonFan4Life 10 months ago
@LifesonFan4Life Nope, no experience with the Venue DI either. My arsenal includes a Baggs PADI, TC G Natch, and recently a Zoom A2. I usually set these devices to a very neutral setting, no EQ, no compression, no reverb, no chorus, just a bit of delay. I could probably get the same result from a simple stompbox echo pedal.
Remember, the sound you're hearing is after it has been through the PA, which is being run by a better than average sound engineer.
