Thank for posting this!
David Niven was such a charming gentleman with such class and remarkable elegance: a fine great actor!

@Fayettevillelady2 The Victorian period is the correct period for Raffles, that's when the books were written. Anything set in another period is is an adaptation.

I didn't realize it had been released on DVD. I've been looking everywhere for it.

I liked him too - I saw him in 'The Pink Panther' not long ago and he was so stylish it was unbelievable!

There's a great series from British television in the 70s based on the Raffles character, though it's a bit earlier - Victorian times. The series is called "Raffles" and the main character is played delightfully by an actor called Anthony Valentine.

@Fayettevillelady2 There is an excellent website about this series - it is called Raffles The Amateur Cracksman and it has quite a bit of information about the Yorkshire TV series. Personally I think that Anthony Valentine was the best Raffles of all, although the competition from Colman and Niven was very intense ;)

I'd like to but am having trouble with making clips for this particular movie. For some reason it won't convert into MP4 format. Hang in there, though - I'll keep trying ;)
