In this video, I unbox my new Motorola SURFboard Cable Modem. This retails for $62 at Wal-Mart, at least where I bought it. Don't expect a review for this one, as it's just a modem.

  • Why would you need the usb? Does one computer have to be on for everyone else to use the internet? So confused.....

  • so you can plug this into a router for wifi

  • Do I need to have the cable thing (the one at the bottom) I have comcast but don't have the cable connection only have 1 for cable. And what's the USB for?

  • ok so i want to connect my xbox 360 online via wifi along with 2 laptops, is this the right option? do u have any advise?

  • Okay, so if im planning buying this stuff and i want to play online in my ps3.

Just plug the phone cable and the Ethernet to my ps3 .. so it suppose to work right? dont want wiereless stuff, and btw want to know if it have warranty becase a guy said it got resseted at day 2.. wtf lol.

  • @ZestyLemonFool You need a subscription from ie Comcast. They run a cable to your house. The cable then goes into this modem. Connect an ethernet cable from the modem to a wireless router. Run an ethernet cable to the Xbox, and computer. Or connect the Xbox to wireless, if you have a newer model Xbox. Some modems from Comcast have a phone line jack in them; this allows the modem to be used for calling, and for the internet as well. So to answer your question, no it does not need a phone line.

  • I tried this with xbox it actually worked but it worked for like 2 weeks then it stoped working for xbox live but works for computer what happened???
