No, no "knob" on the trans. The trans on a CVPI *does* shift harder than a civilian CV due to the computer programming. There are parts (called a J-mod) that you can put into the trans pretty easily to make it shift REALLY nice and hard because of different fluid routing and pressure.

Yeah, it can hit 130mph with it's tongue hanging out of the grille. I LET OFF! And this car could cruise at 110mph all day long, your shitpile would melt after about 2 minutes.

In the conventional sense of the word, no they are not "chipped". But if you mean they have a completely different PCM program than a civilian CV, then yes. :)
