I've owned 2 white's metal detector, both were pieces of junk. The first was the White's Spectrum with target ID and the other was the Classic SL III. Target ID is a gimmick. The big search coils on these detectors make pinpointing a time consuming nightmare. I found more with my homemade detector from EE magazine, the Bucaneer. You can still find the instructions online if you search. Don't be sucked into buying detectors like these with all the gimmicks and flashing lights.
