Don't refer to them as "goth"
That statement is as true as calling Joy Division or The Cure "goth"
They have some "goth" tendencies, but it's more like the darker end of post punk.

Whatever label or genre you want to put on them. This is one of the best and most influential bands, alternative or other that ever existed. Amazingly ignored and underrated. Their individual talents, everyone, are superb.
