  • With all the design credit to Luiz, here you can find a SketchUp file of the vise:

Goto ninoransenberg . com and look for tryallys-slim-vise

(sorry, but youtube do not allow posting working links).

    Hi,

Thanks so much for your warning, I'm happy with this.

I saw the link and liked and you're right, the youtube do not allow posting working links, I think one day they will enhance this issue.

    Best wishes from Brazil.

    Luiz Ally

  • Very nice. Question: that accordion cover on the table, is that something you made yourself to keep chips out of the rails or is that something Sherline offers to help protect the machine?

  • @ray5961 Thanks Ray

This is leadscrew cover made by myself.(photos in album 5)

At Yahoo Sherline Group I have seven albun with detail about it.

    Regards

    Luiz

  • Great idea. I have an old Atlas 7b Shaper that doesn't have a vise. I think I will build a similar workholding setup for the table. :)

  • Thank's Luiz for information :)

I will try yo make my own .

  • @mikruson

    Hi,

Thank for your question, Well, The aluminum that I use here is very resistent as those used in Sherline machine.

Today I just changed the clamping system, and T lock nuts for better steel and the result is perfect.

    Regards
