I may sound bitter but I actually like the idea, I just think the tourist board maybe didn't think through a few key points in their strategy.

Not everyone has a brother in Scotland who could tell them this is happening!

I saw it in America...I was watching a PBS Special on Celtic Thunder or something like that and they kept playing the commercial over and over again...and I saw it once on the BBC America.

BBC America would be the best place for them to play it I think... I've still not seen it. I watch PBS a lot but never seen that show.

gd point im at school in scotland and there's posters all over the place :P i think they're trying to make us nationalists as well as encouraging you guys to come back though. theres competitions for poems and stuff for who can be most pro-scotland without just ranting about the english even though thats what the organisers would love us to do i bet :L

pro-Scotland and anti-England are pretty much the same thing most of the time.

I'd say personally there's plenty to be proud of about Scotland but I tend not to get patriotic because, in my opinion, patriotism is a short dangerous step from nationalism... I have nothing against pride though!

Edinburgh should indeed control Scotland due to it being the capital city of Scotland. Independence for Scotland is essential and you would realise this if you lived here.

Thankfully the vast majority of our population voted to have a referendum take place in 2010 to ask the people if Scotland should become independent, and if the the vast majority vote yes then Scotland shall become independent.

If you wear raised in scotland you will always be scottish. The scots would always consider you as scottish, if you are from scotland.

How long do you have to have been away from Scotland to be considered an An American?? I have been here about a year though I have been home four times already this year and it's only the first week in June! That combined with having my Family visiting and My hubby and I both being Scot's (with non immigrant alian visa's so we can live and work in California) I am just wondering how long before people at home think we are Yanks trying to say were Skaddish!!!????
