Two frogs actually laying spawn. Frogs had been in amplexus for approx. 2 weeks as weather had turned cold.

  • Relaxing clip - I like pondwatching! The frogs where I live only started 3 days ago. We are quite high up on hills, so it's quite cold.

I've got a frog video on my channel too.

  • Yes-I have some nightime footage of the "scrums" this yerar which I will post when I get a minute of 30 to convert it to Youtube.

This little clip was the fresult of setting up a vide cam on a tripod and letting it run for 2 hours.

The rest of the two hours is frogs chasing each other round the pond!

  • @londonlad777 *safer location.....

by the way great idea about the bucket of water from your local reserve.

im thinking of making a pond for frogs and newts so im just interested about it all at the moment.

  • @cycleboy123 wow thats cool, i was working with a nature group last week in a reserve and we was moving smooth newts to a saver location we ended up finding about 200, well i can help by telling you what i read is that common frogs live to about 8 years, and common toads, which i was shocked to read can live to about 40!!!!

  • @londonlad777 ops just asked you that on your other vid!!

  • 70% of frogspawn are male.

    30% of frogspawn are female.
