There is no pinky used in picking I dont want to confuse anyone, I put the tuning in as a courtesy to match pitch, I agree it is a bit cumbersome but you have the option of moving the playhead past

Fairly good lesson. You could do with less emphasis on the tuning piece. Anyone who could play this certainly can figure out "standard tuning". You could also do with more emphasis on the finger picking patterns. It was some time before I noticed that you "snuck" in a pinky on one part.

Hater. Why do you think it's ok to be so rude to someone offering a free lesson? If you don't like it, don't watch. There's no need to be mean.

Does the pdf tab match waht you are doing cause it looks so much different when I play it

Buddy, don't ever think your any kind of guitarist. And here you are attempting to give lessons? I sounded better when I was 5yrs.old. listening to folks with videos on you tube such as " kenileeburgis, daddystovepipe, and ddking66. Now those guys are guitar players. What is it your doing?

It seems the phrase "Delta blues" is applied to damn near any acoustic blues. This is a terrible disservice to the few guys who were actually from the delta of the Sunflower River and who together developed a particular style and repertoire in the early 20th century. DO THE READING!

@iminheck ...Avalon is south of the delta...John Hurt plays an older ragtime based style...The Delta blues are Charlie Patton, Willie Brown and Son House mostly...

@PeluMaad Don't get more Mississipppi Delta then Avalon.

Could someone possibly explain where the 'A' part of the song that kevin goes through slowly actually fit's into the song? I am very confused, in the song there is a double pick on the e string on the 7th fret. Is it just the second part of the 'A' riff? Don't know if that makes sense but I am determind to learn this song and I've learn't the 'A' part he goes through perfectly but listening to the song I don't get were it fits in.

@maddielesage Also its a typical One /Four /Five progression, so the A chord is the One, then sliding up to the fifth (on E note) and seventh (on B & G) gives you your D chord which is your four chord.

UH....John Hurt was pretty much a pre-blues songster with almost no connection to the delta and it's styles other than being from the same state...Do Charlie Patton and Hurt sound remotely similar?
