I'm playing this piece for my Grade 6, only just started learning it.
for my A piece I'm doing the Bach: Prelude in D
and for my C piece I am doing Peterson: Jazz Exercise No. 3
all of which I feel are very contrasting in their performance and a nice challenge.
Q. do you play the Appoggiatura's and the Acciaccatura on the beat of the bar?
This sounds beautiful. I am thinking about choosing it for my B piece for grade 6. Are you doing it for an exam as well?
I am doing the Zipoli for my A piece and haven't decided on my C piece - I can play the Peterson but I like both the Frank Martin and the Takemitsu as well.
