Your comment about how one is pushed from a mere libertarian to an anti-statist might be a good subject for a future essay. The difference between libertarians and anti-statists may be that the former might accept living with a little statism, whereas the latter lives in spite of the state.

Yeah, they seem to repackage the same BS every 20-30 yrs. or so, with Keynesian economics being a case in point.

Wow, the propaganda poster at 2:40 actually reminds me of that commercial where they talked about how driving an SUV or buying drugs supports terrorism.

I know, it's pretty amazing how universal and regular the state's behavior is. We tend tolook at its latest actions and say "allright, now they're going too far!", but really, the state is always going too far. It's that kind of thing that eventually pushes you over the line from a mere libertarian, to a commited anti-statist. They always do basically the same thing, in every age, and yet it can be very hard to see the nature of the scame called the state.
