Remember when NYC subway cars had graffiti on them? This piece, created in 1982, captures that era. Video by Dean Winkler and Stephan Gosweski. Music by The Clash featuring Lenny Futura and Fab 5 Freddie.

Anyone know how to make video effect like at 0:50 ?

We created that effect by using an analog feedback loop around a digital video effects device (DVE). The cans are keyed out and used to seed the feedback. The DVE is zoomed back so the feedback goes away from the viewer. Google "video feedback" plug-ins for whatever software you work with to get a similar effect.
