The original version is untouchable by Randy, nothing can touch that era of country music in the mid to late 80's. Carrie does a great version but at the end of the day Randy owns this song. Nothing but respect for the great Carrie though, she is truly amazing!!!!

What makes Randy so wonderful to listen to is the way he treats his audience. He is a magnificent gentleman to everyone. He exudes respect towards everyone. God bless you each and every day, Randy Travis. We saw him at our Benton County Fair in Kennewick WA and he was everything you see here and more. Sigh.

Yeah and if you listen to the original taping of this song, I'm fortunte to have the CD, he OWNS this song. However saying that, I'm at least glad that the second person to have this song was someone like Carrie cause she does a good job at it.
I wish the new country music fans knew the original version though, they are missing out on some great old country stuff!
